Frequently asked questions

Is this the real NPPE scoring formula?
No. The real NPPE uses a scaled, equated score (pass mark 65) set through Modified-Angoff standard setting, and that formula is not published. This calculator applies a simple weighted average across the six blueprint sections, using each section's official question-count midpoint as its weight. It is useful for spotting which sections need more attention, not for predicting your real result.See how the real pass mark works.
Why do the sliders have different weights?
Because the six blueprint sections are not equally weighted on the real exam: Professional Practice and Law for Professional Practice together make up more than half the questions. This tool weights each slider the same way.See the full syllabus.
